We recently had the opportunity to work with Brian Arnold Photography from Colorado on his SmugMug web site. Brian migrated from the legacy SmugMug to the new SmugMug. Brian’s new SmugMug customization features :
– Four different Themes – each theme has consists of a separate color scheme and site navigation
– New SmugMug style of galleries such as collage landscape and thumbnails
– Client access area – clients are required to enter a password to view secured albums
– Links to Brian’s social media sites
– Responsive design – the SmugMug works great on a desktop, laptop, tablet and smart phone
– Ability to sell and process images via the SmugMug shopping cart (Bay Photo)
Brian writes to us :
“Earlier this year we began an effort to rebrand our photography
company and part of this was a need to revamp our web site. Having
been a SmugMug customer for a number of years we have accumulated a
large number of pictures. Not wanting to walk away from this
investment, we wanted to stick with SmugMug and decided that a more
advanced design was needed. Thus began our search for an
alternative. As we looked around for examples of what we like, a
particular design, created by jR Customization, stood out. We
contacted jR Customization and this began our engagement with them.
After some one-on-one discussions of what we wanted, jR Customization began
providing examples of our ideas, some worked and some didn’t. After
a few iterations we arrived at the frame work for
www.brianarnoldphotos.com. It is not completely populated but our
response from customers has been very positive. One of our favorite
features is the ability to provide each customer with their own
proofing gallery. This serves us very well for post-sales online
viewing opportunities and provides an easy mechanism to control what
can and can’t be viewed. Thanks, jR Customization, great job!”
The four theme site enables Brian to promote his photography business to a specific target market and takes advantages of new web design technology. You can see for yourself and learn more about Brian Arnold Photography at www.brianarnoldphotos.com.
